Renewable energy - Argumentative Essay

Fossil fuels has always been considered as one of the most essential energy source of our social development. However, over the years, human had developed a lot of energy resources which are better than fossil fuels. Can fossil fuels still replace these renewable energy resources? Personally, I think fossil fuels can never replace renewable energy. To begin with, renewable energy is more environmentally friendly than fossil fuels. For instance, wind mills will not emit pollutants while burning fossil fuels does. Instead, windmills does not require burning any resources to generate it, it generates itself by natural wind. Moreover, the destruction of marine habitat due to leakage of fossil fuels are severe. According to latest figures, almost 93% of reef in the Great Barrier Reef have been bleached out, which threatens the habitat and marine life tremendously. Therefore, human developed renewable energy resources not only for the environment, but for the sake of insuring human can hav...

Reflection

Today, I’m goong to talk about what I have practice in the long term run. First of all, English is the biggest and most important language I have to practice. Since my English level ain’t that good and living in UK means English is the only language for communication, therefore I should watch more drama, read newspapers, communicate more with local students, and participate enthusiastically on Language class in order to promote my English skills. Second, swimming is one of my favourite sports and I got to practice more in the weekend. As I haven’t been practicing for a really long time, my swimming technique are slowly fading away, and I should not let ot happen. By practicing more of it, I can bring back the joy I once had in swimming.

Talking about Health

In my country, China, people used to have lots of high calorie food and less vegetables. So that people are always unhealthy and became one of the countries that have the most death for having cardiovascular disease. So what should our government or people do to prevent this disease? Well first of all, we must deal the origin of the problem, eating less high calorie food. Calorie sure provide us energy for surviving, however excessive of it will cost health. Therefore people should be educate of the harm it doe, and the government should advertise the damage dealt by it. Second, the price for high calorie food should be raised. As most unhealthy food like McDonald, the prize for each set of meal are cheap, so more people can access to these food and more will get unhealthy easier. So the government should raise the tax for these food sources, forcing the prize to go up, deterring people getting more of these food.

Reflection over the week (13/10/2017)

In my spare time, I have started watching drama television series such as Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. These drama are really enjoyable and interesting, not only letting me relaxed, but also learning more vocabularies. I have also watched all Lord of the Ring series and Harry Potter series before, those films are fascinating. With such a large story and many characters in it is just amazing. Therefore I appreciate the imagination of the writers. Other than drama and films, playing online games with friends are the best. Chitchat with my old buddies in Hong Kong, share our experiences, laugh and laugh and laugh. These are the most enjoyable and invaluable moments for me, treasuring the time meeting buddies online.

Talking about traditional festival

Hey it is me again! In China, we have a traditional and important celebration called Dragon Boat Festival. It has long-lasted for 2000years, which we celebrate at the the 5th day of the 5th month of the traditional Chinese calendar. This festival was originated by Qu Yuan, a poet and minister of the ancient state of Chu. He was framed and accused treason, forfeited his position and banished. Despite he wrote lots of literature, Chu was defeated in the war and he committed suicide by jumping into Miluo River. People in order to admire him, this festival was then born. From then to now, the tradition formula of Zongzi has changed. Before there are not much brands of this food, but now as business grows, brands of Zongzi are diverse. Also, the gender for riding dragon boat varied, before only men can, but now women also. As this is word limited, I can't write much :P See you soon guys!

What did I enjoy in Liverpool?

I have came to Liverpool for half a month, a new environment from Hong Kong, a different country, I have to adapt the living style in Liverpool from the start. However, there are lots of fascinating things I enjoy. First of all, I met a lot of people in the college, especially a lot of Hong Kong and mainland China student. Most of the Hong Kong students study in foundation courses, for me, I’m studying in the Science & Engineering course. Mainland China students mostly are pre-masters. But seeing so much Asian in the same college, I felt really safe. Second, the student accommodation is great. I’m living in Albert Court, It is big, staff and flat mates are friendly, and there are gym rooms and swimming pool! Although I still haven’t get used to my room as it is quite messy for now, overall the living environment is good. Lastly, I can finally try living by my own! I had been living in a same house with my parents for so many years, I always anticipated to live by myself. Now ...

Introduction For Myself

Hey guys! I'm Wong Kei Shan, or you could simply call me Kason (sounds "K" son). I come from Hong Kong, which is a wonderful city. So, let me share to you what I do in my spare time. For short spare time like half an hour or less, I will watch some Youtube videos about gaming or listening songs I liked. For long period spare time, I usually study for what I learnt in the lesson, Biology, Physics, or memorising new English vocabularies. However, if my friends also having their spare time with me too, we either hang out for whatever reasons or play video games together to kill time. For what I think, Study is really a hard-working process, examples like learning English. I have been learning English since I were a small child, singing poems, watching Sesame Street (especially Elmo's World). In high school,  reading Lord of the Rings series, watching Discovery Channel. Up till now, my English did improve a lot, and yet not enough. For I have spent many years on Engli...
